Woody is a confident and characterful 2-year-old boy who is ready to find a home where he can truly shine as the centre of attention. Originally hand reared as a kitten, Woody has grown into a cat who knows exactly what he wants from life and isn’t afraid to show it.
After living in a home, Woody began to show dominant behaviour towards his sister, so he is now looking for a home where he can be the only pet. He has more than enough personality to fill your home on his own and will keep you entertained with his playful and sometimes dramatic nature.
Woody can be a little reactive at times and may occasionally use his claws when approached, as he does not always understand that hands coming towards him are for affection. Because of this, he would be best suited to a home with older, cat-savvy children or adults who can give him the time and understanding he needs to feel secure.
Once he feels comfortable, Woody is a very affectionate boy who loves a lap and a cuddle. He enjoys playing with his toys and will happily keep you company, bringing both fun and companionship into your home.
Woody will need outdoor access once he has fully settled, as this will help him burn off energy and may help him relax and feel more balanced over time. A calm, stable home environment will be key to helping Woody thrive.
Woody is looking for someone who understands that he may need a little patience at first, but in return you will gain a loving, entertaining companion with a truly unique personality.
Woody’s ideal home:
If you are looking for a cat with a big personality and plenty of love to give, Woody could be the perfect match for you.
We’re a foster-based charity, so each cat lives in a home environment before adoption. This helps us see how they cope with things like children, other cats, and dogs.
Because we don’t always know a cat’s full history (especially if they were a stray), our guidance is based on what we’ve observed in foster care. For example:
If a cat has lived happily with children, we’ll note they’re suitable for family homes.
If a cat is very timid and hasn’t been around children, we may suggest an adult-only home.
The same applies for cats and dogs — suitability depends on their behaviour and what we’ve seen first-hand.
As a foster-based rescue, when one cat is adopted their space is quickly filled by another in need. If a cat is adopted into an unsuitable home and has to return, it unsettles them and creates real challenges with our limited foster spaces.
We also believe that, where possible, cats should have safe access to the outdoors. Unless a cat is specifically listed as indoor-only, outdoor access is a requirement for adoption.
Our priority is always to match each cat with the home where they’ll feel safe, settled, and happy.
Instead of applying for individual cats you can open a general adoption form here General Interest Form.
