We are well into November and we are still trapping kittens in gardens and no matter how many times we ask if anyone sees any kitten in their gardens to ring straight away as the sooner we get them the easier it is to socialize them. These kittens had been seen for some weeks and are now quite fiesty and will take longer to bring round so they can live a life as a pet so please don't delay please message asap thanks.
Please note these kittens are not for homing, thank you.

I would like to share this with you all as it is worded amazingly. This is what rescue's deal with most weeks and I know we do as a rescue. please be warned it may be upsetting. But this is real life for a rescue and it is heart breaking for us as volunteers to see cats/kittens going through this.
Thank you for reading.

(We do have permission to share it with you) x

Hello everyone, we hope you are all keeping safe during this lock down, we are carrying on as normal to help as many cats as we can as the weather is now cold and wet it is even more important to get the cats in and safe. During October we homed 64 cats/kittens which takes up a lot of time with phone calls etc so we do ask people to be patient with us if you are looking for a cat and understand that home checks are hard to do at the moment but we try to find ways of allowing us to continue homing or we can't take any more cats in.
I just wanted to bring to your attention how the out of hours vets work in Peterborough now, these being Vets Now and Best Friends Group which cover all of the vets basically from 7pm until the morning . We had cause to use the Best friends group as we had a poorly kitten which we knew needed putting to sleep so at midnight our fosterer took him and the cost with no treatment was £276.70, £190 consultation, and £86.70 for the tiny baby to be pts so please make sure you have insurance (normally £85 excess) or have the cash to pay as the money has to be paid on the visit.
My concern is that animals will suffer as lots of people do not have ready cash to pay during normal working hours let alone these costs hence me always saying when someone rings in saying with great glee that their cat is pregnant I say I hope they have a vet and money to pay as can you imagine the cost of a caesarian section at midnight at either of the out of hours vets!
Owning an animal is an expensive hobby so please have your cats/dogs neutered there is help with CP for cats and Spaywatch for both cats and dogs so don't delay please and save one worry.
