Olive is a beautiful 12 to 13-week-old tortoiseshell kitten with a gentle nature and a heart full of potential. Although she’s a little shy when meeting new people, with patience, understanding and a quiet home, she’ll gradually begin to show her lovely personality.
Playtime is where Olive’s confidence really shines. She especially loves chasing and carrying her favourite little ball around in her mouth, and watching her enjoy herself is guaranteed to make you smile. She can be a little fussy with her food too, taking her time to decide exactly what she’d like to eat!
When Olive was rescued, she had some scarring on one of her eyes. She has been thoroughly examined by a vet, who confirmed it is simply old scar tissue. It doesn’t affect her vision, causes her no discomfort, and won’t require any treatment in the future.
Olive would love a calm, understanding family who will let her settle at her own pace. She could happily live with another friendly, confident cat who may help bring her out of her shell. Because she’s a sensitive little girl, we’re looking for a home without dogs and with older, cat-savvy children who understand that trust takes time to build.
If you’re prepared to give Olive the patience she deserves, you’ll have the privilege of watching a timid little kitten grow into a loving and loyal companion. Those first head bumps and gentle purrs will make every moment of waiting worthwhile.
Partially Vaccinated: The first vaccination has been completed. The second will need to be arranged and covered by the new owner.
We’re a foster-based charity, so each cat lives in a home environment before adoption. This helps us see how they cope with things like children, other cats, and dogs.
Because we don’t always know a cat’s full history (especially if they were a stray), our guidance is based on what we’ve observed in foster care. For example:
If a cat has lived happily with children, we’ll note they’re suitable for family homes.
If a cat is very timid and hasn’t been around children, we may suggest an adult-only home.
The same applies for cats and dogs — suitability depends on their behaviour and what we’ve seen first-hand.
As a foster-based rescue, when one cat is adopted their space is quickly filled by another in need. If a cat is adopted into an unsuitable home and has to return, it unsettles them and creates real challenges with our limited foster spaces.
We also believe that, where possible, cats should have safe access to the outdoors. Unless a cat is specifically listed as indoor-only, outdoor access is a requirement for adoption.
Our priority is always to match each cat with the home where they’ll feel safe, settled, and happy.
Due to high demand for veterinary appointments during our busiest periods, this adoption is taking place through our Proof of Neutering scheme. This allows kittens who are ready for adoption to go to their new homes sooner while ensuring their remaining veterinary treatment is completed.
The adopter will be responsible for arranging and paying for the outstanding neutering, microchipping and/or vaccination treatments specified by us. We will provide a Proof of Neutering form, which must be signed and stamped by the adopter’s vet and returned to us within the agreed timescale.
