Join us at South Bretton Community Centre between 12pm and 3pm to meet some of our cats looking for their forever homes.
Please note that cats featured on our website will not necessarily be attending the Homing Day, and additional cats not shown on our website may also be available.
To help us find the right match for both cats and adopters, all prospective adopters will be asked to complete an assessment and suitability check before viewing cats.
View Homing Day DetailsWhen they first arrived in foster care, we thought these lovely girls might be happy being homed separately. Mia and Onyx quickly made it clear that they had very different plans. These two share a special bond and are happiest when they are together, so we are now looking for a home where they can continue their adventures side by side.
Mia, aged 3, is the fluffy member of the duo. She is a sweet, gentle girl who loves affection and enjoys spending time close to her people. She may be small for her age, but she has a big personality, especially when catnip is involved.
Onyx, aged 1, is the sleek and elegant youngster of the pair. She can appear a little reserved at first, but it doesn’t take long before her affectionate nature shines through. Once settled, she is more than happy to join Mia in seeking out fuss, attention, and a comfortable lap.
Together, they love spending time with their humans, exploring the house, investigating anything new, and curling up together for a nap. They are often found grooming one another, following each other around, or sharing a lap whenever the opportunity arises.
Both girls are playful, affectionate, and enjoy human company. They are suitable for homes with children aged 5 and over and could potentially live with another friendly cat. However, they are so devoted to one another that any resident cat may find themselves playing third wheel.
Mia and Onyx are looking for a home with outdoor access once fully settled, plenty of cosy places to relax, and a family who will appreciate having two loving companions instead of one.
If you’re looking for a ready-made feline friendship group, Mia and Onyx could be the perfect match.
Adoption donation: £100 each
Partially Vaccinated: The first vaccination has been completed. The second will need to be arranged and covered by the new owner.
We’re a foster-based charity, so each cat lives in a home environment before adoption. This helps us see how they cope with things like children, other cats, and dogs.
Because we don’t always know a cat’s full history (especially if they were a stray), our guidance is based on what we’ve observed in foster care. For example:
If a cat has lived happily with children, we’ll note they’re suitable for family homes.
If a cat is very timid and hasn’t been around children, we may suggest an adult-only home.
The same applies for cats and dogs — suitability depends on their behaviour and what we’ve seen first-hand.
As a foster-based rescue, when one cat is adopted their space is quickly filled by another in need. If a cat is adopted into an unsuitable home and has to return, it unsettles them and creates real challenges with our limited foster spaces.
We also believe that, where possible, cats should have safe access to the outdoors. Unless a cat is specifically listed as indoor-only, outdoor access is a requirement for adoption.
Our priority is always to match each cat with the home where they’ll feel safe, settled, and happy.
Instead of applying for individual cats you can open a general adoption form here General Interest Form.
